Question 144hz not working on my 144hz monitor ?

My monitor just randomly slowly faded to black (not screen saver), after a few ways of trying to fix it i figured out that it only does that if the display gets switched higher than 60hz.
The display is connected through a DP connection.
I have two monitors and it's only the 144hz one that has this issue.

I'm going to test out the monitor on a different gpu tomorrow to see if it's a gpu fault or the monitors. Any suggestions on what else should I try. Much appreciated.

Monitor1(problem): samsung Odyssey g3
Monitor2:LG 75hz

Gpu: RTX 2060
CPU: RYZEN 5 3500X
RAM: 32 GB 3200 (2x16)

If your refresh rate is not set to 144Hz, you can change it here. Click Display Adapter Properties and then the Monitor tab. Use the drop-down menu to find the proper refresh rate of 144 Hertz and click OK.

The thing is, before that the monitor was fine working on 144hz, then one day it just faded to black and would only work on 60hz or lower.
