My main game will be playing BFV on 1440p trying to get 140ffs for my 140Hz screen. I am also trying not to spend too much $$$

Some components marked with ** are secondhand.
I have a few suggestions under each category the component I chose are marked with a #
I am planning on overclocking if needed for fps.
If you have better suggestions please tell me =)

**Cpu:
#Core i5-8600K = 1580rmb = $236
Core i7-8700k = 2400rmb = $358

Cooler:
Arctic Freezer 33 eSports ONE = 300rmb = $45

**Mobo:
# Z390 ASRock Extreme4 = 1060rmb = $158
Z370 MSI Z370 GAMING PLUS = 660rmb = $98

Ram:
  1. Adata (2x8GB) DDR4 3000MHz = 925rmb = $138
  2. # and ** G.Skill F4-c14d (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz = 1200rmb = $179

**GPU:
1. Evga rtx 2080 = 4100rmb = $611

# 2. Asus Strix GTX 1080 Ti = 2100rmb = $313

(I know I need a rtx 2080ti to achieve 140 fps but the price difference is $745, the card is still to new for the secondhand market)

Screens:
I would love to have a 32inc screen but is it better to get a 27inc + G-sync for those extra fps?

# 1. BenQ EX3203R 32inc free sync= 3,500rmb = $522
(I saw that that you can use gsync on this screen with the new drivers)

2. Acer Predator Gaming 27inc 1440p G-sync 144hz-165hz XB271HU A 27= 3,500 = $522

Storage (only for games) :
  1. # WD m.2 500GB = 790rmb = $118
  2. Sandisk m.2 500GB = 700rmb = $104
  3. Samsung 970 evo plus m.2 500GB = 1000rmb = $149
(I have a 4tb WD and a ssd already)

PSU: CoolerMaster MWE650 Gold = 500rmb = $75

Total = $1,646

Thanks for your replies!

i5 8600k and RTX 2070 should be fine leaving you plenty of money for your cooler and other components.

you can check benchmarks with the same specs and of course in 1440p.

A second hand RTX 2070 is $492 here which is $179 more then a GTX 1080 Ti. The 1080ti gives more fps and is cheaper. So I don't agree with you.

Remember I am looking in the Chinese market and the more fps the closer I can get to 144hz.

I have a 6600k/2080 and average 80ish fps in bfv. Ultra settings. Unless you really wanna turn down the settings, I don't think either combo will net you close to 144, imo you'd be lucky to get 100. I'd probably still go with the 2080/8700 combo.

Thanks for the reply.

I will definitely lower the settings a bit to get closer to 144fps as I am a competitive gamer. Thanks the i7-8700k overclocked is better 10-20fps more.

I have been researching for almost 2 weeks to get the best deals and get up to date with the new tek. But I still can't see how the 2080 vs 1080ti is better for $300 more?

better? maybe. if you think about the price two used 1080 tis in your country cost like 300 which is enough for a used 2080. the only question is will two 1080 ti be better then one 2080 at gaming?

if you don't want it go for the 2080 then.

processor: i7 8700k 6 core 12 threads
motherboard: Z370 MSI Z370 GAMING PLUS
Gpu: Geforce RTX 2080
Cooler: (one decent cooler)
ram: g skill 3200mhz 2x8gb
storage: samsung 250 or 500gb m.2 should be fine for your operating system and some games. 1 or more tb hdd for mass storage.
psu: Evga or other brands 650-750 watt power supply should be fine
