I am building a desktop primarily for gaming, and was looking for some advice. To start, here are my components:
CPU:
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4 GHz
Mobo:
ASUS M4A79XTD EVO AM3 AMD 790X ATX AMD Motherboard
RAM:
CORSAIR XMS3 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM
Graphics Card:
Radeon 5850
Hard drive:
Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5"
Optical Drive:
ASUS Black something or another
Case:
COOLER MASTER Centurion 5 CAC-T05-UW Black Aluminum Bezel
Power Supply
Corsair 750TX
I am not planning on over-clocking, but crossfire is a possibility.
Im sort of a noob at this, so I would appreciate any advice on making it more cost effective. Feel free to change stuff completely, but keep it AMD/ATI thats all. I am not on a super strict budget but around 1500 dollars would be nice. Also, do I need a separate CPU cooler?
Thanks in advance.
btw the OS is windows 7
