$1500 Gaming System

Hey guys,
I'm fairly new to the computer hardware side of things and have decided to build my owing Gaming PC. I dont have much expertise in this area so if you could please help me out and tell me what is right and wrong.

I want the PC to be easily moved so i have chosen microATX, here is the components that i have made a list of so far:

Motherboard: Asus P8P67-M PRO http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8P67M_PRO/. Since i want microATX is this any good, will it support the rest of the system?

Processor: Intel Core i7-2600K http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=52214. Pretty sure that i will definitely want this, not sure if i want to overclock

Graphics Card: Radeon HD 6950 2Gb. Probably will upgrade to crossfire later on

Memory: G.Skill F3-12800CL7D-8GBXH: DDR3 1600 CL7 8GB (2 x 4GB) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231431&Tpk=F3-12800CL7D-8GBXH. Is this enough ram, and if so should i opt for some that runs faster, has lower CL, or get some cheaper ones?

System Drive: Samsung F3 HD103SJ 1 TB, 7200 RPM HDD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185&Tpk=F3 HD103SJ. Just grabbed this from the $2000 system builder marathon 2011, so i assume is okay, any suggestions?

Optical: Lite-On iHBS212 BD-RE: 12x BD-R, 16x DVD±R, 48x CD-R http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106348&Tpk=Lite-On iHBS212 BD-RE. Also just grabbed this from the $2000 system builder marathon 2011, so i assume is okay, any suggestions?

Power Supply: ??? don't know what i will need

Cooling: ??? the case has two 120mm fans

Case: Silverstone SG04-FH http://www.silverstonetek.com/products/p_contents.php?pno=SG04-FH&area=usa. I know its expensive but i want the portability.

Any suggestions would great, this is my first time building a PC so all help is a appreciated.

I would bump down to the 2500k. For gaming, the 2600 doesn't add to much. As for the PSU, if you want to CF later on look at a 750W-850W unit from Antec, Corsair, Seasonic or XFX. If you're OCing your CPU you'll want one that can do about 600W (50A) on the 12V rail.

the corsair tx750 will do also look into another case i know there is an equally portable one. +1 on the i5 2500k

If you know of any cases that can compare to the Silverstone SG04-FH can you get the name or place a link.

I don't think little smaller case and kilogram less would make much difference in portability if you want to use case as Silverstone SG04-FH.
Are you planning to move your PC at long distances so often ? How about LCD then ?

i chose the SG04-FH because of the build quality and the integrated aluminum handle. i will not be moving long distances often but i will be moving it up and down stairs, also it would be a lot easier (due to size and handle) when i go to a LAN event.

Also what do you mean by LCD?

Well usually you need connect computer to something, unless its notebook

got ya, for some reason i was thinking of something like Liquid Cooled or Light Case Design. Think i might need some coffee

Watercooling is great, but its expensive if you do it right, add on weight and don't like being moved as it could cause leak and kill your hardware if something get loose.
