[SOLVED] 1600mhz Ram Failed to run on Second Gen. board but after 1 year

Hi, there's a problem arises after 1 year and almost 6 months, that is my 4GB Ram is not working. I know the problem, which is I was using 1600mhz ram on my i5-second generation laptop. Two rams were attached, first is 2gb 1333mhz and second is that 4gb 1600mhz.
But can anyone tell me why it runs perfectly for more than 1 year and now it don't? instead it makes Fan so loud and just black screen.

RAM is working fine on other 4th generation laptops. I have read a thread where Intel had posted that using that RAM whose frequency is not in compatibility list of your processor creates issue after sometimes.

Not exactly for a pre-built computer since it will either work or not based on CPU model.

For aftermarket motherboards that can OC, it is more applicable as insufficient settings can cause instability. Also, OC margin can vary so any value above what is stated for CPU is not officially supported by processor.

Yes you are right. But still wondering why it worked fine for almost a year, and then after that it created the issue. Thanks for the response...
