Hey, so I'm building my new PC and I bought a 780 ti, I've got 2x 27" 2560x1440 Dell U2713HM's and a 55" Panasonic Plasma as my third display.

So my question is, because I do a ton of gaming from MMO's (WoW, EVE, ESO when it comes out and Wildstar) as well as shooters like BF4, Crysis and a few others, I was curious if getting the second 780 ti would be worth it for consistent 60 FPS gaming.

What are your thoughts? :)

I haven't tested it yet because I'm still waiting on my CPU to arrive, from what I've heard though the standard for a single GTX 780 ti EVGA superclocked is around 50-55 fps on Ultra for the games I listed. The problem with me is I'm really finicky about loss of frame rate, so even like a 5fps difference is really noticeable to me and it irritates me beyond reason. This is the main reason I ask if it would be better to get a second card.

I don't think spending $700+ is worth the 5 FPS you will save. I'm willing to bet you won't even notice the difference.

I definitely wouldn't buy another one until you at least see how well your rig works first. I'd suggest you play a bit and see if you can notice any "low" framerates. If you think you do, turn on FRAPS to make sure you aren't imagining things. If you can't notice that the framerates are below 60 FPS, don't even bother running FRAPS.

Thanks for all the replies, it helped a lot. I am going to take that advice and wait and see, I have heard a lot of good things about the 780 ti EVGA's performance so I am hopeful. Luckily though, I've seen a 560 ti run ESO and BF4 pretty well, but I'll just have to wait and see.
