[SOLVED] 2080Ti 11GB only shows 9,3GB in red dead redemption 2

So title says a lot actually.

When changing video settings on Red Dead Redemption 2 it shows like 4GB Out of 9,3GB available on my 11gb card RTX2080ti card? My friend has the same issue, but it shows 6,7GB out of 8GB on his rtx 2080 8GB card. Is it a video card issue or game issue?

I ran DXdiag and it shows 11GB VRAM.

I would say a game issue, if you are both experiencing similar issues.

Hmmm, maybe some VRAM is reserved for specific purposes by the game and thus not included in "available" VRAM. Maybe for the frame buffer(s)? Kind of like a fixed cost.

You might be right, but I don't know! Just thought it was weird since everywhere i've looked it shows 11GB except on RDR2.

Yeah, that's what I thought too, but it might be as mortemas said that it's reserved, but I don't know. Would be cool to actually know why.
