My Dell P1110 (manufactured Aug 2000) began to jitter slightly about a
year ago. No matter if I'm running an application, a browser, or
looking at the desktop - there is a slight vibration corner-to-corner.
I have an AMD 2.6 w/ 512 DDR, a Nvidia GeForce FX5200 w/ 128M driver
ver. 4.4.0.3 running 1280 x 960 @ 72Hertz. The monitor is one meter
away and aboe the tower, and the two satellite AltecLansings are
shielded. I am also connected to the Belkin 1000 UPS, so my power is
clean too. The jittering does not increase or decrease with time of
day, time of year, type of apps, or any other vaiable that I can thin
of. I have not removed the monitors cover, or vaccumed. I did reset
the Nvidia just for grins, when I dusted out the tower, but that made
no difference either. Other that the flickering, the monitor had
performed well. I just cursious as to what I might have missed -
outside of a rather pricey CRT going south...and I don't want to go
there, uffda!

Thanks for listening.

Or a mobile phone?

Or a microwave?

Or even a wireless access point?

Is your monitor cable running parallel to a mains cable for any significant
distance? (i have seen people tie wrap their monitor data cable to their
monitor power cable and wonder why they get interference on their screen)

Have you tried disconnecting your speakers and moving them away from the pc?
