Some of this is useless and destined for the landfill imho. PCB Xmas tree? Waste of space, energy, money, raw materials and time. Bad for the environment, absolutely zero upside - other than having solved the 'what shall I buy them' question with the answer "some useless novelty crap". Just give them $150 or any fraction thereof! They'll probably be much happier and the landfill will have a little less in it. If you're going to list crap, where's the worst ever invention? The one that really shouldn't exist at all? - The dreaded musical bog-roll holder! Come on Tom's. You're always talking about saving energy. How about a list of 25 ETHICAL gifts for under $150 that will somehow benefit the recipient. For example, the Kill-A-Watt energy monitor, the recipient will save money as a result and learn about saving energy. Everyone's a winner. What do you mean it's no fun?! It's more 'fun' than that PCB Xmas tree! At least products on the list should retain some residual value allowing them to be 'recycled' via eBay etc. Not sure you could eBay a used PCB Xmas tree! If consumption with no retained value and low ethics is a good gift, why not just give someone a pack of cigarettes, and some fireworks? At least kids really enjoy fireworks.
