27in. too big ?

hi, i had before a 19" lcd monitor, it broked and now im building a good pc system.
it will have a very good graphics card. monitor with 120hz.


my question is, is 27inches widescreen monitor too big ??

i will be 3 feet away. i seen the size of those monitors and liked them.

would it be too fast for your eyes 3 feet away ?

i have a 46" widescreen in my room, and im 9 feet away, and i play MW3 on it good.

only you can be the judge of that.

all i can say that is if the monitor starts going into your perepheral vision some games such as FPS might be a little harder to play and seem "too big" at first until you get used to it.

i use a 40" at around 4.5 feet away myself. its a little large at that distance but i've since gotten used to it.

I don't like anything over 22" or so for a monitor for a PC, over that the screen tends to go out of your vision and you need to move your eyes around to see the edges of the screen. Especially with a wide-screen.

Go to a store and look at the 27" monitors from 3 feet away. That's the best way to judge. Most people do not use a monitor 3 feet away. I use dual 25.5" monitors and I sit about 22" (30" if slouching) away.
