hello i want to transfer files from hard drive on my dads computer to mine so i took off his hdd and i cant access to the user folder what can i do?

Put the computer back into your dad's computer and start it up. navigate to C:\Users\ and right click on his user folder selecting properties.
click the security tab.
click Edit
click Add
type "everyone" then click okay
select the everyone group and place a check mark in read & execute.
