Which one is faster? 2x570 sli or 680

Personally I would rather get the best single card i can get (especially if its close, like this comparison), and later be able to add a 2nd 680 for much cheaper.

Probably. Depends how soon the 700 series comes out, architecture, etc.

I'm not saying this is exact or accurate and I myself would get a 680 over 2 570s, but for argument's sake, see Anandtech's bench. A single 570 is only in most cases 30-50% slower so if SLI scales well (1.6x improvement or more), 2 570 will be faster than a single 680 albeit it's probably not much.

Until you come into Vram limitations of the 570's then the 680 will pull away, it is all situational.
