Question 30-40 FPS on PUBG with GTX 1080

I recently bought a new build and thought seen as I was going be changing from a GTX 1050 Laptop to a GTX 1080 PC FPS in PUBG would improve and FPS in other games would too.

However, it has made no difference what so ever I am still only getting FPS of around 30-40.

The new system I have is
CPU - i7 - 9900k
GPU - Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1080 Turbo OC
MBD - Aorus Pro z390
RAM - 32gb DDR4 3200mhz

Anyone have any ideas?

i7-9700k or i9-9900k?
Also, have you downloaded the correct drivers for your gtx 1080?
I'd also download msi afterburner to monitor your temps when playing, but 30-40 fps is completely wrong.

i7 - 9700k and all of the drivers are correct and up to date for the gpu

2)What temps are you getting?

3) What kind of drive do you have your game installed on?

Temps are around 65 degrees for Gpu and around 55 degrees for Cpu

I currently have the game installed on Samsung 970 Evo plus m.2 SSD

same for me :
my cpu + gpu usage is 50-60 % while i play pubg , but my avg fps is lower than 100 , my screen is 180hz?
game settings is very low
3930k stock
gtx 1070
15 GB 2x8 1600mhz
z79p
SSD 120 samsung
win 10 pro x64

No, Its was a completely New Build, with fresh Hard Drive and New windows installation
