With the ram at ddr1100 the timings had to be a little loose but runs 1100 at 2.4volts

At 2.2 volts they seem to handle 1100 just fine

I’d be happy with the 3060 Xeon 8)
Have you gone on the extreme end with the 3060 yet?
Would appreciate your input on the power required to keep that chip up and running around 3.8 GHz or higher

Looks like we have another Opteron on our hands. Thanks to DaSickNinja for this new info, and I'll give you another cookie as soon as I find a bigger one than before.

EDIT: I may have missed this, but is the stock cooler for the Xeon better or the same as the E6600?

:D Yay, Cookie!! :D
Its actually the same cooler.

@kwalker
After the thermal shootout, and the release of the RD600, I'll OC the chip to its limits. I don't think the Asus or the Gigabyte's I use are a good match for this chip.

I agree
Asus has a problem with its fsb limits on the higher multiplier cpu's.
requires too much Vcore.
althoug the P5B Deluxe seems to ignore this up to 9X.
Vdroop mod helps but this is not the option that the average user is interested in.
I cant wait for your review.
Thanx 8)

I'm going to make you unhappy again.

R600 is still scheduled for late January, or possibly early February.

RD600 is the chipset for the motherboards based on it(or at least the first one), and will debut in a DFI C2D-based board, of which the name is too long for me to recall at the moment. And that will be out December 15th.

dammit. i was half rite, half wrong. sigh. as i have no c2d, i'm not exactly hyped about the rd600. i know its awesome, but it doesn't really apply to me, so you guys enjoy it. anwyay, R[no d]600 IS looking cool, and although i won't get it either (no pci x16  ) its still cooler to me.

i've also come to the conclusion that shoez was a virus, _Tacos has become a carrier, and now he's trying to spread it! look out!!!

you know it  I take it you liked it

now if only I could find a video of a budha dancing to a remix of ms new booty (mr new budha)

any way, what do you think of my choice of super talent ram ninja, a lot of the others agree that its a good choice

I got my dominator to run 4-4-3-8 with a 10:7 ratio to make it like an fx-62 (4000 @ 2.80), but its so pathetic that I can't get it to run 810 @ 2.6volts or even 4-4-4-12, definitely rmaing the dominator
I'm with Daria on this one, eBay it and some n00b will pick it up for beyond its full price.
