3200+ or PIV 3,0

In order of preference: A64 3200+; P4 3.0C; AXP 3200+.
A64 rocks; P4 3.0C is, however, faster than AXP 3200+.

I would put the A64 3000+ on top of that list. Its about as expensive (cheap ?) as a P4 3.0C, and IMHO the better choice. The A64 3200+ puts you in a different price league, though its coming down in price fast.

Agreed that unless you are upgrading your cpu, there is no reason I can think off to get a AXP3200+. Its both more expensive, and less desirable than the intel and A64 alternatives.

The xp3200+ is now priced below the P4c 3.0. Doesn't make much dif though, if your progs are SSE2. For gaming, if you dont oc, the xp3200+ has become a little more realistic. (After you buy the 9800pro)
