Question 3600Mhz kit defaulted to 3500

Hey. When I built this pc with Ryzen 5600 and two sticks of 3600mhz the BIOS was recommending 3500mhz frequency. Why is that?

I just put 3600 without changing anything else

It would be a really good idea if you installed the latest Asus BIOS as soon as possible. There have been a number of important changes recently, including the 1.30V limit and high speed memory compatibility improvments.
Ok I'll look into it. But should I just leave it at 3600mhz?
 
If it survived several hours in MemTest with zero errors reported, run your normal applications and see if the computer works OK. You could try a few if your favourite stress tests, Prime95, Aida64, Cinebench, etc. It's up to you.

I had one machine that passed MemTest at XMP 3000MT/s but rebooted without warning when running Firefox and other normal programs. I loosened the CL (CAS) timings a couple of clock cycles and normality was restored.
