3DMark 11/Vantage Scores thread! (Benchmark Thread #3)

With the Unigene and Cinebench threads, I figured we might as well round it out with the 3DMark thread. You can do either Vantage or 11, or both, doesn't really matter. Just download and run at default Performance settings. Screenshots are great as we can see the results right here, but certainly feel free to post the online link as well (example: http://3dmark.com/3dm11/526616).

1) Download 3DMark Vantage (basic edition) : http://www.3dmark.com/3dmarkvantage/
2) Download 3DMark 11 (basic edition) : http://www.3dmark.com/3dmark11/

3) Run tests

4) Save results (print screen -> paste into Paint ->Crop/save)
5) Upload results to photobucket or imgur or imageshack
6) Post results!

Feel free to run stock, daily overclock, and max overclock results! Or just one of them... doesn't matter! I think we'll have some great results spanning 3 or more generations of great cards so it could be really interesting.

This is with a 690, hope to get the amd vishera soon and see what kind of bump I get from that.

Specs:
AMD Phenom II X3 8600 @ 2.83GHz/X6 1065T @ stock
Asus M3A32-MVP
6GB DDR2 @667/4GB DDR2 @800
4870 & 4850 @ 770 core/4870, 4850 & 4850 @ 650 core
82 GB HDS728080PLA380 ATA

So these are my results for Vantage:

This good or a can do better for a tri-CF system?

here is a 3dmark vantage run with a 1100T at 3.8ghz and a EVGA Superclocked + 660Ti OC +35mhz core and +250 mem (SC+ are so OCd on core over stock there isnt much headroom)

http://www.3dmark.com/3dmv/4547277

P23641 total score
25576 graphics
19267 CPU

if you can OC that 1065t you would do alot better
might want to consider selling the GPUs and investing in a 660Ti or 7870 if possible but otherwise with an OC on the 1065T you would do pretty decent

I have plenty of headroom for overclocking on my GPUs but I haven't overclocked the CPU since I upgraded to it because I haven't needed to.
Edit: Won't be overclocking - temps too high even at stock!

mine latest run 😀

SCORE
P3212 with AMD Radeon HD
Graphics Score 2981
Physics Score 5786

system
phenom 2x6 1090t 3.8ghz @1.4v
hd6770 1020/1370 @stock volts ( 🙁 because voltage is locked)
corsair vengence 1x4GB 1600mhz 8-9-9-t1 @1.6v
looks like my gpu chip is great as it is able to withstand this much clock at stock voltage
but graphics memory chips are junk 🙁 as they cannot withstand above 1370 in benchmarks
also, vengence ram is also bad 🙁

Did some upgrading to a 690 with an AMD 8350 really woke up my system, the results are as follow:

3DMark11 old score with the 1090t, 11120
new score with the 8350, 13278 http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/6000182

Firestrike old score 4900
new score 8695, http://www.3dmark.com/fs/198576

3DMark Vantage old score 25010
new score 33450 http://www.3dmark.com/3dmv/4592812

All in all I am happy with the results, this eight core has really seemed to awaken my system. I will admit there are some games that in fraps I am seeing an increase in frame rates and others (older games) are staying the same. When I ram 3Dmark06 I actually went backwards, my 8 core did terrible dropped about 300 points. So I guess what I am seeing is that with new games I am good to go but my PC is not as backwards compatible as I would like, there are some old games that I still like and they don't run as well which kind of sucks for me.

the old games are not optimized for multi-threading so not taking advantage of all the cores on your FX 8350
if you get a good OC on the 8350 then you will see the older games improve IMHO

For some reason my mobo isn't liking the idea of overclocking this cpu which I am very bummed, I thought it should have been pretty well easily done but I have some interesting things going on, one thing is my ram wanted to run at 1333, I was able to bump that up to 1600 but it is 1833, then even at the 1600 speed I still had to go in and tweak the timings down to the 9-10-9-28 settings, I didn't write down the stock settings but it was something like 11-13-11-32, I tried just s a simple change in the multiplier but my system didn't like that either not sure what is going on and I know this isn't an overclocking thread just wanted to give you a reason why I have left my cpu at the stock clock and oddly enough with turbo core enable it sits usually at 4.1. If you have any suggestions please pm I don't want to get in trouble for starting an overclocking thread. Thanks

I havent played with any FXs
Try PMing Stickg1 who I think posted earlier in this thread
he is a crazy overclocker who had a FX series CPU
he is a good guy and would be glad to help

Thanks you very much, I figured out why I was having trouble with the overclocking, I can get it to 4.5 without problems now and it helped with everything, I was able to run firestrike at 4.8 but 3dmark11 and vantage prefer the 4.5 setting I will post the new numbers soon.
