Much appreciated :)

nice... Im going to overclock my gpu again.Im attempting to bring my score up, hopefully today sense my room is nice and cold with my computer at the window it will be able to overclock higher with lower temps. 😀 I WANT MY 15K RRR

Hey hey dont doubt the 4850 and e8400 lol.. My current score is 14282 With 740core 1145 mem. It just about crapped out on me. Going for something a little more different. These news 10.1 drivers suck my last *max * was 14,893

Nope Im stuck at 14,601 Everything i try now Fails with Blue screen. Artifacts and Shutdown. I guess my system Cant hit 15K shrugs. good try though. 😀 im gunna keep my system at this for now XD 745core 1145 memory. Thats good for now. Maybe newer drivers will allow me to Gain that extra 400 points i need ^_^.

I managed to squeeze out one run with insane clocks on the GPU and Memory (825/1175) and while I managed to finish it, the last 10secs of the last part (the snowy scene) was an artifactfest, with a VPU recovery event taking place essentially the second it was done. The CPU was also jacked, at 3.7ghz, and I only managed to get a glimpse of the final score, at 16.7k, before it blue screened. I had a nice -20c breeze coming in through the window straight to my intakes. I haven't tried that again since, but I don't consider it a valid run (Artifacts and BSOD and all)

heh, same thing happend to me when I pushed the shaders too far, all scenes exept for the snowy part run fine.... now I know how far I can push the card before a nice arti-fest comes up......

Same thing i can complete the whole thing BUT the snow level i dunno why.. grrr

good gawd... anything over 675 1098 on my HD4850 and I lock up in the first 15 seconds of Deep Freeze....

I have bumped up my score a little from earlier.

Someone mentioned about the 10.1 drivers, I believe I was getting better scores with em, but as they weren't certified yet I rolled back to the 8.671 from release 9-11 and also the 8.65.0.0 from release 9.9

heres a link to previous ATI drivers for Vista/Win7 64 if anyone wants it...

Nice. About my clocks. I Modded my Gpu Bios and Changed the voltage to its maximum then Went online and found a way to gain Higher voltage * managed to get my core to 900 and 1150 memory. Though As soon as i got my test scores. I dusted away And took away the Mods. So now its back to regular 4850 but with higher Voltage. From modded bios. Not modded card.

Its like this * If the snow level Detects ONE SMALL MISTAKE IN RENDERING. *my guess is - * It kills the driver for ati cards, and something else on Nvidia. Only thing that makes somewhat logical sense. I ran Crysis Benchmark 5 times with my current settings of - core 739,memory 1185, With no mistakes/none not one graphical error. But in the snow level of 3Dmark 06 it dies. wtf..

Thanks for the heads up on how you got those clocks. Still learning this stuff and it makes sense about v-mods to the gpu, same as with cpu and stability. Did some googling and came up with some articles describing the pencil mods, don't really want to go there just yet, maybe if I hit a wall before reaching 16k :pt1cable: For now I'll teach myself about tweaking the bios and see what i can get modding that way.

funny thing i did Bios after Mod LOL... good choice though if you need help Im here.

Well tried to mod my bios and just ended up with grey screen when it got to windows. Was using RBE 123 as it looked easier to begin with than Riva-Tune.... Bios flashed fine and I reverted back fine but couldn't get it to run on the new bios.

Tried deleting CCC and drivers before and after the mod but never got it to work....My HD 4850 is an XFX card so don't know if that has anything to do with it, chksums all matched up b4 and after, and only did minor changes in RBE to the 4 available clock settings... Any thoughts?

Having failed miserably at those mods decided to do some more "smoothing on my CPU oc and then played with Overdrive....

This run was after running only the Deep Freeze bench until I couldn't get any more out of CCC overdrive

CPU was at 3.75 and Overdrive was at 670/1200

woot woot! broke 15600 without volt mods to VC! Believe my oc on the processor is becoming more stable as I tweak it... now running my NB at 2500Mhz, and using 250 on my FSB. Mem is @ 833 /3:10 (1660) and I have the mem timings still on the loose side for what OCZ calls for so may have some more improvement there.

Here is your problem DONT CHANGE CLOCKS IN RBE ONLY CHANGE VOLTAGE. Change voltage to max settings and Overclock then. DONT USE THE SOFTWARE TO OVERCLOCK END OF STORY.

I Did 3D mark 06 On my 64BIT Windows 7 and Got a score of 14989 Im just gunna say i hit 15K 😀 Did overclock cleaned my system *via Defrag and CCleaner Had my Graphics card at 745 core 1148 memory and Was so close to hitting 15K that im just saying i hit it XD

Haha, rounding up! Just only refer to it as "almost exactly 15k" or "a hair under 15k" and you won't be lieing at all!
