[SOLVED] 4 GB ram, 2 GB usable/hardware reserved

Hello i just bought a used dell T3500 with 2 memories which are:

i tried the msconfig method of max ram 0, but still..
btw i have ati radeon hd 3400 series

So is it the graphic card which uses it? if yes how can i change that?
or is it the different brand rams?
possible solutions?

Memory manufacturers don't guarantee such combinations will be compatible together.

Dell Precision T3500 Workstation
Supports up to 24GB 1333MHz ECC and non-ECC memory in 6 DIMM slots

I suggest buying the desired amount of memory at one time from a memory retailer which would be guaranteed to work.

You can try buying an additional module of what you currently have. There may be a better chance of two of the same kind working together instead of two different brands.

I would try using what you have just using one module at a time to see if both work by themselves.

Memory is guaranteed in the form sold. Adding...
