crazyness! would it require a 450 watt psu? could anykind of convential liquid cooling setup dissipate that much heat? i haven't read very much about peltier cooling...
idk..... not sure exactly what this part is for....

Using them alone can give you a wet mess. You can get water blocks with them already built in at the same site that you listed. If you want to stick to air then Chilltec is a complete solution to look at. You can find a detailed review HERE

you dont hook those things up to your system psu, draws too many amps. you should use a secondary power supply, it's simply a raw peltier (TEC) element without anything attached to it.

basically plug the thing into a suitable power source, turn on the juice. one side gets really cold, one side gets wicked hot. what you do with it after that is limited by your imagination.

Not really! Water based Peltier 775 socket blocks average 15 to 24 amps on the 12 volt rail well with in range of a 700+ watt supply. The Chilltec air based Peltier TEC draws less that half the water based solution because it is combined with a standard heat pipe and fan heat sink design and only switches the Peltier on to maintain ambient temps and prevent sweating problems.
