I just bought a Radeon 4870 512mb and when I put it into my computer and boot the computer, no video displays. Basically, I just upgraded from a 7900GS... and its not working.
Other graphic cards work on my computer, and the onboard vga output also works.
I have tried many thing but it doesnt work.

My system spec:
ECS - G31T-M
e8400
4gb ram ddr2 pc4200

I used multiple DVI cables
reset the bios and cmos
change the initial boot device to pcie
tried different moniters...

When I boot the computer, the graphic card runs and everything. However I also noticed that of the four led lights, 1,3,4 blink twice at the same time.. and thats it

Is my graphic card dead... or can my motherboard not support it.. cause its pretty small and crappy

Those LEDs usually indicate a power problem. Have you connected the necessary PCI-E power cables? 4870's require one 6-pin and one 8-pin PCI-E power cable.

What power supply is in your machine?

I have a 550W power supply.
I checked the requirements for the 4870, and it says 2 6pin pci-e slots
Also, on my 4870, there are only a total of 12 pins, or 2 6-pin pci-e slots
And, my power supply provides the graphic card with those two pci-e power slots
