Hi,
I use VLC for playing movies on my Macbook, and have a problem when I reproduce 5.1 files.
With some files the channels mix up and the center comes out of the right surround and the left surround from the lfe. And I found that changing the numbers of the speakers from the Audio Midi Setup of the Mac, makes it right. But I use it for work and when I have different files I can´t be doing this all the time. I tried using Quicktime and it plays well, but can´t create a playlist, and is important to me having the list and the controls in a sepparate window.
Is there a codec I can download for VLC or can you reccomend me another player to solve this?
Thanks.

I found out that is an issue with the order of the speakers in the audio protocol. I can change the numbers from the Mac configuration, but when I have different files I can´t do it live.
Evidently, VLC can´t adapt to this and Quicktime can.
