Im trying to install a 5700xt into an old LGA 1156 PC and the display goes blank after the MB flash screen. I know the 5700xt works as I've tested it in another computer. And I know that most of the components in the LGA 1156 PC work as it runs with a 660 ti installed. Is the LGA 1156 MB just too old to recognize the more modern GPU?

SPECS OF LGA 1156 PC:
CASE: COOLERMASTER HAF 922
CPU: INTEL I5 760
GPU: NVIDIA EVGA GTX 660 TI
RAM: CORSAIR 2X 4GB
MOTHERBOARD: MSI P55 GD85
PSU: CORSAIR TX 750W

Due to the fact that's a real old motherboard, is the bios updated? That's most likely the culprit. And mind you, even an update might still not solve the issue. That's one rly old motherboard as i said. MSI website itself doesn't even have drivers updated for windows 8. But maybe you're running windows 7 still, which if it's the case, update all the drivers too.
