ei!Im new here at the forumz,,,
well, i just wanna have some advice on reapplying some thermal paste onto the graphics card's gpu & heatsinks as well. my cooling device is a Coolermaster Coolviva. i only used the thermal paste that came with the product and i think it caused the sudden increase of temps on my gpu instead of cooling it down. from 50C at idle, i went 70C at idle and 80+C during load times.

im buying an Arctic Silver. my question is would that be applicable for the heatsinks and heatpipe as well as because it was applied onto the gpu?or should i buy another Arctic Ceramique to do the job?

Thank you.

Open up your case and get a flash light and see if there's a ton of dust on the 6600 GT...if anything is stuck or clogging up the fan etc...i'd first try getting a blower. I know the AOC Fc-2000 blower moves 42 cfm which is an unheard of amount of air. It cost like 5 bucks at newegg.com and 5 bucks for shipping. So 10 bucks. It should make a significant difference if indeed heat is just getting stuck around your video card..and i mean this sucker should pull all the head out of your computer..not just around the card, but it'll hit the card the most in terms of temp drop. How many fans do you have in your system?

Thanks for the reply. I have no online account yet that's why i can't order online and I'm in the Philippines. I'll try to look on some of the shops here of that product. It seems a cheaper than buying a new thermal paste. I was just alarmed of the sudden increase in temps.thanks bud, for the help.

Dust is somewhat the problem, i dont have a good casing, i'll be buying soon when i get my allowance. I guess its the effect. I just want to extend the life of my system until the new product releases come before i upgrade my whole system.

Anyways, thanks a lot.
