6870 low fp on all games.

Hello,
Ok, When I unboxed my PowerColour hD 6870 Graphics card. I plugged it in and it was worse than my 9600. I was getting 100-200 mediocre fps. My new graphics card didn't performed the way I'd like to to. My graphics card is not over heating and I have a 750 watt power supply. Suggestions for help? Here is my last resort, if I cant get it fixed. Im going to the computer shop

Oh ya , i always set my Refresh rate to Highest ! But Vsync , i realy cant see difference when turned off or on , but i turn it off because others say to do so !

is that Consern to my Bottleneck or FPS locking ?

some games have built in fps locks that cant b changed.... i don't think its a trend nowadays but still sousds like ur vsync turned on.... try vsync forced off in catalyst centre
