6970 1080p underscan

For some reason in certain games like company of heroes my graphics card is underscanning. It was doing this in windows when i first set it up then i changed the setting in catalyst control centre to push it back to the full size of the monitor, but it's still happening in games. I have the latest drivers installed, i've checked using different outputs on the graphics card, not sure what else to do to fix this, any help would be appreciated.

my card is a gigabyte 6970 oc2 model, factory overclocked to 920mhz.
