Hello guys,
I have one important question. Today my Asus GTX 970 came, and I noticed it has 8 PIN plug, my PSU has 6+2 PIN cables(from one cable, comes 2x 6+2 PIN cables, its bequiet P10 550W).
Looks like this.

So i connected one of those 2 pairs and everything looks fine, white bright led is shinin' , only thing that bothers me is the shape of last 2 pin.

The ground 2 pin from my PSU look like this:

You can see there 2 pins, both triangle(?) shape.

And on the card the last 2 pins are one triangle shape and one square shape:

So my question is. It pluged in with out using any strong force, just like it fits, but its still bothers me :( Did I connect it properly? Or perhaps I should order other cable...

Thank you very much for your help.

Solution
That PSU should work fine and no issues I see with the connections. As far as the noise levels, I have the Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 with Windforce and it is silent...maybe it's just the Asus card you have. I know the STRIX version is a bit quieter from what I hear.

It the card is stock OC, that is why your clock speeds are higher than spec.

Also, made some testing. Card is pretty noisy in stress, I assume it can be coil whine. Even setting vsync at 60, in GTA V or Witcher 3 doesnt solve issue.
I read it is very common issue in 970's. Is that true? Any possible solution for this?

Perhaps its a problem that card is stock OCed,

Also no idea why its running at 1316Mhz instead of 1253 as it says in specification?

Thank you for your help.
