OK, 800 Duron, 256MB pc133 Corsair, IWILL KK266 Mobo, Fan over northbridge chip, exhaust for case. Cannot OC highr than 970. Have a FOP38 on order, but funny thing is temp has only maxed out at 46 degrees (celsius) with this cofig. Processer is unlocked, anyone have any ideas on anything else that might be holding me back.

I hope your kidding, cause that would be a first for me.

970 is pretty darn high for a Duron. It could just be the max for your chip. Have you increased the voltage to 1.8 volts?

"970 pretty darn high for a duron" ?? High maybe but pretty darn, definitely not... Durons are well known for their ability to be overclocked, and to produce a bit less heat than Tbirds. Of course all CPU are not equal. My 650 Duron, with pencil trick, is running perfectly at 1017 (9.5 x 107) on a MSI K7T Pro2, and no special multi-big cooling stuff used. The only reason I can't go till 110 FSB is my RAM, 256 M of generic PC 133, which doesn't like much running more than 142.
And why to get a 800 Duron, when expecting to overclock ? Better to get the lowest possible, since it's exactly same stuff, just multiplier changing from one category to other.
Anyway, for the price, Duron is really a very Nice choice to do.
