Okay I know my computer is crap but i wanna ask a question, I play Far Cry 2 with a 256MB 8400GS on medium settings with 2 on high, what kind of increase could I get from a 9600 1 GB and from a 9800 512MB?

A VERY BIG INCREASE, check the GPU charts out here on toms, just look up on the webpage and you see a tab saying charts and go there.

the 9600 would be MILLIONS times better. Seriously you cannot even compare the 2. If you are gaming without a doubt get the 9600, it will blow the 8400 out of the water
