My PC Specs:
CPU: 8700K (not delidded)
GPU: Zotac GTX 980 AMP
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 2400Mhz
Motherboard: ASUS Prime Z370-A
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212X
Case: H500P MESH WHITE (No additional fans are installed)

Hello Guys
I wanted to do small overclock to around 4.6-4.7 GHz but the CPU gets hot and throttles.
Also I have noticed that my CPU gets upto 75 degrees at load (4.3 GHz) without overclocking.

Here's what I did:
Sync all cores
Disable Multicore Enhancement
Set 46 for multiplier

Solution
My temps at idle are around 26c.
Actually my PC components were installed by a technician so everything from applying the paste to installing the CPU cooler was done by him.

So I wanted to ask if I can do some overclocking without harming my CPU?
Yes, that is what the K suffix processors were designed to do.
What Intel can not guarantee is how high you can go.
That will be limited either by your temperatures under load or by your vcore voltage under load.
For a stress test, 85c is about your limit.
1.4v is about your limit. 1.35 really is a better limit.
Once you have reached your limit, back off a multiplier or two.
Also, implement speedstep and adaptive voltage.
That will reduce your multiplier and the associated vcore when...
The hyper212 is popular, mainly because it is cheap.
But, it is not a very effective cooler.

What is your temperature at idle?
I would expect it to be 10-15c. over ambient.
You have a very nice and effective case.
If you see temperatures much higher, it indicates that your cooler is not mounted well.
Did you use too much paste?
If so, it will act as an insulator.
A small rice sized drop in the center will spread out under heat and pressure.
It is hard to use too little.

Was the cooler tightened down evenly?
Use a crosswise pattern, a little at a time.

Your 8700K is likely capable of a good overclock.

as of 3/22/2018
What % of I7-8700k chips can oc
at a aggressive vcore near 1.4 or so and delidded
4.9 99%
5.0 88%
5.1 54%
5.2 22%

Note the delidded caveat.
Monitor your vcore with cpu-Z during a stress test. It should not go past 1.4v.

85c is about the limit for a stress test.
75c. under load os ok.
The processor will throttle or shut down if it senses a dangerous temperature.
That is around 100c.

If you want a top end cooler, look at a noctua nh-D15s.
It is just as effective as a good aio cooler and will be quieter and more reliable in the process.

Please don't run your cpu at 1.4v for general use. Your CPU will have a shorter life. 1.4V or higher is for people doing overclocking tests and epeen competitions. 1.35V is the highest I would go for long term use.

Idle temp of 26C is good but the 8700K is a hot chip so I would just do MCE and be done with that if you don't plan on changing the CPU cooler. Set the other settings back to auto but turn on MCE.
