It shouldn't matter how large the iso is, it is an image of a cd so when you burn it back on to the cd it should fit. I have burnt very large isos onto normal sized cds. You can use fireburner or adaptec ez cd creator. Just use the 700 MB discs just to be safe.

And you can always "test" or simulate burning before actually writing to the disc. Some VideoCDs have file sizes that are over the capacity in terms of MB, but not in terms of minutes.

All FF8 Disc 1 requires is an 80min/700mb CDR.

I also have ff8. The install disc and discs 2-4 are on 650 CDs. Disc 1 had to be on a 700MB disc but it does fit. You are either using poor software to burn it or the iso file you have gotten is crap.

Ok is Nti Cd maker bad then? If so, what should i use Ez CD creator? also the cds i used where 80 minute/700 mb.... maybe the iso was bad... but even if it's bad how could that have made it 799mb? either way do i got a coaster now form the one i already burnt?

If the FF9 disk 2 is burnt incorrectly, you will not be able to read anything from it, it will just show up in Explorer as full.
In response to your earlier question, I just burnt a 762MB .bin file on a 700MB disc using Fireburner. The size of the .bin or .iso file is not necessarily the size of the data that will be put on the cd. I don't know why, I just know it can be done.
