945 vs 975

Currently running with a Phenom 2 x 4 945, I know the bulldozer line of chips is on the horizon. But Im patient jackwagon when it comes to upgrades. So is it worth getting a phenom 2 x4 975be now, and then possibly doing a somewhat of a system upgrade come july/august when the bulldozers arrive?


Current Setup is:
Asus m4a77td mobo
Phenom 2 x 4 945 @ 3.0
8gb of ddr3 @ 1333 (i believe)
Ati hd6950
WD velociraptor hd
Antec 650w psu

Idk how much of an option that would be as Ive never given oc'ing anything a try. I know my cpu isnt an unlocked version either so could it even reach those clock speeds? Also on stock cooling, so thats probably an issue.

OC your CPU to 3.6ghz, instant 975 minus the price tag

amd 975 overclocked will be fast enough for now.
