9900k undervolted to 1.235 @ 1.267v max load
All setting are left auto
Blk100.00(no xmp boost)
2x8 @3200 OC 1.360v
MSI Z390 ACE last bios
Nzxt Kraken (52) 240mm AIO
——
Prime 29.4 Small FFT AVX
hit 100c in seconds
AIO max speed pump and fans
Avg temp 96c
Power consumption (191-203w) avg195W
——
Passed 1 hour no errors
——
Blender benchmark Reaches 90C
Cinbench almost around 85c
All around 160w power consumption
I use hwmonitor

couple of problems:
your case has a solid front panel so airflow is bad
1000 rpm fan speed? that's really slow
a 240mm cooler is pretty small for a 9900k to begin with

if you want to keep that cooler at least run your fans at max speed, the stock fans should do 2000rpm according to nzxt's website
taking of the solid front panel will help too

It’s tempered glass with filter
I don’t understand what do you mean by solid panel ?

So any one help to answer my question , about my temps that i mentioned before , also i cannot get 4.9Ghz stable on (linX 1.1.1) even at 1.310v with llc voltage up to 1.334v
as 4.8Ghz is usless for that temps

Did you ever get it worked out? I've never used an AIO, but I read that they need to really snug on the heat spreader. Do you think it could be too loose?
I replaced my cpu with new one
I got a better chip this time
I did use a cooler master gel pro at the local store for testing on Aida 64 FPU CPU
I got like 85 max core spike avg80c or lower
At open air
When I got back home reassembled my front glass and filter and so on the whole case 570x
I got 86 max temp using avg at lower 80’s
1-2 higher
I replaced thermal pasts with mx-4
Now I get over 90c
Wtf is wrong with mx4
Waiting my Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut
Maybe two weeks if I got it I will post the result 😅
I have other thread at “cooling”
About that topic
I got like 10 degrees increase or more
at overclock 1.32v llc1.35v 5Ghz no avx
using the mx 4 at cinbench I hit 100
And I was barely getting to 85 after several runs
When I was using cooler master gel pro 🤷‍♂️

thanks man ..... that Arctic M-X 4 is the worst past i have ever had
it's driving me crazy ... it's shouldn't be used when overclocking
i know some will disagree , put really it crank up the temps on stock by at least 7 degrees worse than cooler master!!
and at least 15 degrees when CPU Overclocked
i will post when i get that grizzly

You cannot rule out a failed CPU. I have just made a new system with an i9 9900k on an Asrock Z390 Phantom Gaming board. I was using Cooler Master Nepton 280 liquid cooler. It idled at 40C and at a 30% load it shot to over 100C. I reseated the cooler twice and the reading was the same. I bought the top Cooler Master liquidMaster 360. After 3 reseats it was idling at 60C each time (hardwaremonitor then Intel overclocking tool). It runs above 80C running a virus scan the same temp it should be at 100% CPU load overclocked.

And it's not a misreading as the fans accelerate to flat out as well. The motherboard is running at 38C so it's unlikely the motherboard (note my room temp is 32C so that's OK.)

that is still very warm....

Does MSI have MCE mode as a BIOS option? (MB attempts to run all cores at 5 .0 GHz if within power/temp limits) With your temps, and if an MCE mode is present, I'd disable it, as I think even 90C sustained is too high....; with your temps, I'd be perhaps pondering stock operation)

Or are those temps being achieved even with all cores at only 4.6 GHz? (i.e., stock) Or are you setting 5 GHz manually?

Have you compared others' 9900K results with your particular Kraken model in use? Many get better results with conventional sink/coolers compared to some AIOs...

Gamer's Nexus did a review of your AIO, and at 400/800 rpm fan speeds, there was thermal runaway and 80-95C temps, etc...

Are your fan speeds at 1500-2100 RPM? Or, given your CPU, perhaps test at max fan speeds?

In other testing done 2 years ago, some folks had even 6700K's hitting 75-77C at 4.7 GHz, so, it's quite probably you might have issues with twice the core count and approximately 2.2X the heat to dissipate in a similar size package...

Hi there , I got my cpu replaced with a better one
Thanks for participating in this form of mine
I have Got
Corsair h150i pro with stock paste at push pull configuration front intake
Room temp is 30C
Overclocked to 5Ghz at last ♥️ I got normal lottery at 1.315v LLC load volts is 1.344
My temps in Cinbench R20 after two runs is
93 at one core max spike
Other cores max is
91-90-88-86-86-85 C
Avg of 90C” only two runs
And I’m waiting for thermal grizzly

My OLD cpu was a piece of **** couldn’t get it stable at 4.8

About time

Jokingly since it's been a few weeks of testing and having to get another 9900K to get 5ghz & then the testing which is a bit warm for benchmarks but gaming wise you should be fine.

It's been quite the arduous task for yourself.
Yea , I had a very hard time with that bad sample
— now with my ambient temperature of 30C , and in comparison with most of other people Temps and performance , it makes make sense
———
I passed 4 hours on FPU at 1.295v llc1.325v
And after 1hour of OCCT small data set needed 1.315v llc 1.344 no avx
I’m Satisfied
Put there some people out there suffering from a bad 9900k ..
I think silicon lottery should play a rule in Overclocking
Put on Stock, all chips should be tested for voltage and temps

UPDATE
I got Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut
Sounds like it’s not difference from my stock thermal past , put it handles the heat well
....
Put now I have a very strange problem
I had my cpu stable 5 GHz at 1.315 for 1 hour of OCCT small data set
I ran a test today
llc voltage 1.344
Got BSOD
Raised to 1.320v
llc voltage 1.354
Got BSOD 🙃
Raised to 1.325v
llc voltage 1.354-1.363
Passed 10 min for now
Is that a cpu degradation 🤦‍♂️?
Update I passed 17 min
Got BSOD
Ohh god I couldn’t get it stable at 5ghz 1.330v with llc 1.363v at load (flat llc)
What happened to my chip 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ I didn’t use any higher voltage since I got it 😰

Hello I would like to share an Update in this
Form
Thank you all for participating
Vcore I mentioned above was not the real
Voltage running into the cpu
At least not after the V droop
With my new 9900k
And h150i Pro
My voltage is set to 1.360
With llc on mode 3 ( increases voltage a little )
My actual voltage under load is 1.299v-1.301v
@5Ghz avx@4.8Ghz
From VROut sensor
Now in the summer
Room temp is above 30C
My gaming temps is 70-80 avg
My pump maxed and my fans maxed at least when gaming
Going for custom cooling after few months
And hell yea my first CPU was the from the 10% lowest lottery if not worse
I believe I can get it to 5.1@ 1.330-1.350 actual voltage after with avx@4.9Ghz
Put I will need to handle a wholly 220-230 watts of heat to test that crazy chip to make sure it’s stable at most applications
