My question is will any components that I have selected hold me back in overclocking? Will that Mobo take me up to at least 3 something Ghz? What about that Ram?

Edit: I also plan on getting a better cooler for the CPU..

You should have no problem. Im running my e7200 @ 3.16ghz without a voltage increase.

I was looking at the same motherboard. However I can't seem to locate any DDR2-1333 on Newegg's site nor directly from crucial. Both Newegg and Giga-byte's site report this board needed DD2-1333 (Not DDR3).
Will running DD2-800 or DDR2-1066 hurt the board? I know it will effect performance but will it damage the board?

Running DDR2 1066 will not harm the board but as you said it will not have the best performance. In response to the OP the e7200 is a wonderful overclocker; I have mine running at 4ghz stable as a rock. I was able to reach 3.45 with the stock cooler and voltage. Good luck.

no matter what memory you install the motherboard will default it @ 800mhz and depending on the quality of your ram it will set the timings if you are on auto, but you can set everything to manual and make adjustment as neccesary to get memory where you want it, i personally am using Gskill DDR2 1000 that will run @ 1066 with a lower lat than most stock 1066 memory and was cheaper! will also run @800 lat 4-4-4-12 or lower which is great at 1:1 ratio with FSB @1600 which gives me a safe overclock on my E8500 of 9.5x400=3.8ghz, so far this board is great and overclocking is pretty easy, I have 10 years experience building gaming rigs and this is my first Intel rig in years and its great so far. just read the included manual about each bios option and you will get the hang of it very fast then just play with settings and test for stability..ive just gotten started with mine and have had it up to 9.5x450=4.25ghz @1800mhz FSB mem 1:1 @ 900mhz and was stable in 3Dmark06, downloading some newer benchmarks now ...will keep you posted.

Hi I'mrunning th ud3r with an e7200,2x2gig of patriot viper 1066 and I can not get it to run in dual channel.all the settings are on auto and it is set on turbo and the voltage is at 2.2 for the ram.Should I put the ram to standard and the us e the yellow slots?Any help would be great.

Have you tried reading the manual the Motherboard came with? That paper thing with all of the information in it....ya...that one...open it and give it a look.

You mean the one with all the writing.Please don't take me for a moron.Not all of us know how to set the advanced settings and all I'm looking for is a little help.Not someone,like yourself,to make me out to be an idiot.
Anyway I was looking for someone that has the same or almost the same setup to find out how they got the ram to run in dual channel.

Yea I know I have a friend thats pretty sharp with the gigabyte boards.We are going to mess with the timings and maybe a slight overclock but we will get it to run in dual channel.Just have to do trial and error.I was just hoping that someone had the specs on the settings so I can just set and forget.
