I found a drive on eBay and I was thinking of buying it. it's a "dell" drive that was manufactured by Seagate. I was wondering if this drive would act differently from a normal Seagate drive. if it helps, the seller listed the drive as "Seagate ST8000NM0055 8TB 256MB 3.5" SATA 6GB/s 7200RPM DELL PN 0T05HP"

Solution
It came out of a Dell system.

But...buying a used HDD from fleabay? Only if it were really really really cheap. Like $25 for an 8TB.

It’s 100 dollars, I think that’s a pretty good deal. So just to confirm, it doesn’t matter? Dell wont use a different hard drive software or something?
