I have two monitors, and when I'm playing a game on full-screen on one, and I try to interact with a program on the other monitor, the game minimizes.
A lot of my games don't have full screen windowed, so don't suggest that.
I know it is a way to keep the system from being over taxed, but that isn't a problem for my 2Gb GPU.
