Thanks for your feedback DanO!! I did recall one reviewer who said that
routers/networking is really hit and miss. Two people can use the same
router/network--yet one will find it was easy to install/reliable while the
other says it was the router/network from hell. Some say that networking
wasn't really meant to be installed/maintained by the masses, but by skilled
pros. I don't know if that sounds elitist or not.

interesting...see above initial statement. M brother and his friend both
had tried netgear and they had trouble getting them to work. They quite like
Dlink and Linksys though...
I had an old wired SMC and it seems to work okay. I bought a wireless SMC a
while back, it worked well for a while. After a firmware upgrade and a
little while passed, the download speed deteriorated to dialup speeds.
Couldn't figure out why?? No settings were changed????
