i just finished my 1.1 gig tbird. also got hercules geforce 2 ultra. whats the absolute best way to cool it? i heard a platinum orb for the processor, and a golden orb for gf2u

The best way would be water-cooling, peltier/water-cooling, or a vapor-phase refrigeration system like kryotech. Any of these methods will make your CPU overclock a lot better than an air-cooler. Down with air-coolers :)

ok, well which of the 3. and u have any brand names and places to get them at.

Water-cooling is the easiest of the three, and probably enough for what most anyone would need. It will keep your T-Bird running just a few degrees above ambient temp. There are a lot of places that sell water-cooling kits. There are a lot more, I just can't think of any right now.

If you don't know much about peltiers then I wouldn't even consider using one yet. You can really damage your CPU, and /or your power supply.

If you have the money to spend on it, then vapor phase is probably the best. This can get your processor to about -20C. Even an Athlon.I only know of two companies that make kits. Aztech's Vapochill kit sells for about $650.

Read up on it and decide for yourself what you want to do.

Your senfu address seems to lead to some crappy pokemon websites...

If you dont't want to invest a fortune, and don't want to spends hours on the net learning how to use peltiers or water cooling systems, you can just get a good heatsink.
I would suggest you Alphas, or the Hedgehog. You'll might want to use a Blue ord for you video card. They are the best , and the most expensive coolers available.

Sorry here's the correct Senfu address: http://www.senfu.com.tw/net.htm

Air cooling is easiest and usually good enough, but if your up to it, then I encourage trying water cooling.
