Accidentally Changed Settings

I'm looking for some help for a friend who accidentally changed his
settings on his HP printer. The language has gone from English to Russian.
It's no longer a case of just changing back, since he doesn't read Russian
and can't follow the instructions.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello,

it'll help if you mention the exact printer type, e.g. LaserJet 4 and so
forth. The methods for changing the language can deviate quite a lot. For
my HP 5Si MX printer, for example, I have to power it off and on with one
of its buttons, the Online button IIRC.

Thanks for the suggestion. I contacted my neighbor and he says he has a
four-in-one HP 3200 which is about two years old. He doesn't have the
manual and tried with an old Russian/English dictionary to figure out the
settings, but couldn't. I've been successful getting computer help from
newsgroups before, so offered to try for him.

If anyone knows how to help, I'd really appreciate it.

I found this, looks like what you need:

1. Press the < or > button until COMMON SETTINGS is displayed in the
control panel.

2. Press the ENTER/MENU button two times to access the Language menu.

3. Press the < or > button until the desired language is displayed in the
control panel.

4. Press the ENTER/MENU button to save the setting and automatically power
cycle the printer.
