Accidentally Spilled Water

Good day, my aunt accidentally spilled droplets of water on my Laptop's battery. My laptop is on the adapter. So the battery is lying around the drawer and its not connected to the laptop. The droplets spilled at the area where the gold pins of the laptop are connected to that part of the battery. I was really worried. I cleaned the battery with a towel and wrap it all around it. Does the spilling damage my battery? I don't want to plug it yet because Im worried that it may do some weird things at my laptop or cause static damage or other damges. So I want to ask some advice. 🙁 Thank you.

How much water are we talking? If it got seriously wet I'd throw it in a bag of dry uncooked rice. If it was a couple droplets of water it's more than likely fine.

I still would let it set overnight just to make sure it dries out thoroughly.

Thank you for replying I'll send a picture later. The only wet was the battery not the laptop the battery is separated when got wet. the area where I'm worried is the area where you connect the gold pins. I don't know how to call that area hehe,
