I turn on my monitor but it only stays on for 3 seconds and then it goes blank the power is on but no picture and it is only 4 mo. old anybody knows what might be wrong

I have the same problem. When it goes blank I press inpit and replies indicating "input not supported" however, a for two weeks (I aheve this monitor for two weeks) it was performing normally and w/o porbs.
Can any savy geek assist and help?

This sort of issue with flat screens is sometimes due to a single capacitor failure in the power supply section. If (and I emphasise IF) you have the necessary know-how in electronics and soldering it is possible to change capacitors -- if faulty they sometimes visibly bulge.

If it is something as relatively simple as this, an honest tech shouldn't charge too much for fixing it.

Exactly.....But finding a HONEST vendor is a sky high task as they charge any IC or basic component about 5-6 times more because of the lack of knowledge. So, make sure that you get that done by a vendor that you know personally
