Question Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-54-560E) - Which SSD type does each M.2 slot support?

Hello,

My laptop has two M.2 slots (in the BIOS they are labeled as "HDD0" and "HDD1"), can you please tell me what type of SSD drives each slot support?

So far, I have an NVMe drive successfully running on slot "HDD0", but the other day I was installing a SATA SSD drive on slot "HDD1", but the BIOS didn't recognize it.

Additionally, SATA MODE in BIOS is currently set to "RST Premium with Optane", but i don't have any Optane drive installed - can that be the reason that my new SATA SSD is not recognize on the M.2 slot "HDD1"?

Thanks, but do you know if they are supposed to be backwards compatible with Sata SSD? Trying to figure out if i have a faulty drive, or is it just not supported.
