Question Acer Predator Z301C Monitor

I have just purchased a 2nd hand Z301 monitor and it looks fantastic. BUT, I have a problem.

When I go into the OSD I find that the Language is set to BRAZILIAN. and I can't change it to anything else except a Chinese looking language (other languages seem to be available, but are all scrambled and pixelated). While in Brazilian the screen seems to lose all the black and contrast, see here;

But if I change to the Chinese language, it works ok;

I think it may be a corrupt OSD. Is there anyway to reflash/update the OSD on these monitors.

OR does anyone have any other ideas.

Thanks to everyone who has looked.

I think I may have to return this for a refund, although it is a fantastic monitor.

Like I said, works perfectly in the 'Chinese' style language, but I'm worried that if it's a fault, could it get worse.
