Question Add boot partition to install drive?

Hi All,

Can't seem to find a summary - and it's been a while, hoping somebody can assist.

Long story short, two drives were installed during original W10 install. One is no longer detected (as far as I can deduce, it's dead - but haven't been able to try on another MB yet) and as a result, the remaining SSD doesn't boot & I need to add a boot partition.
Personally, I'd just nuke & reinstall .... but this is for a friend and their backup procedures are pretty much non-existent & things like software passwords are saved in a Word doc.... also local (sigh!)

I believe in the past I've done it via DISKPART..... but don't recall if I needed to boot from a USB installer & run CMD from there, or if it was done from within another working W10 drive. Ideally I'd do it from a USB installer, but can do either way.

Appreciate any assistance.
