Would it be fine to pair one of this company's other products with my current ones?

It's a crapshoot. It could, then again, it could not play nicely. It is recommended to buy a kit with enough RAM.
Brand doesn't matter. The chips on the sticks do. And the different chips have different characteristics. Most common manufacturers are Sk Hynix, Samsung and Micron. You might see Nanya.
