I'm considering purchasing an Audio card.

I have Logitec z906 and AudioTechnica headphones. I recently bought an optic cable for my audio system and the improvement in the sound was good so I started thinking about an audio card.

My motherboard is Asus z170 Pro Gaming.

My main motivation is music and movies, I don't play competitive gaming and the audio quality that I get from my MoBo is more that enough on that regard.

I'm considering the below options -

Sound Blaster Z PCIe Gaming Sound Card with High Performance Headphone Amp and Beamforming Microphone

https://www.amazon.de/Soundkarte-PCI-Express-leistungsstarker-Kopfh%C3%B6rerverst%C3%A4rker-Beamforming/dp/B009RPQA2G/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1546537381&sr=8-3&keywords=audio+card

ASUS Xonar DGX PCI 5.1 Audio Card

https://www.amazon.de/Xonar-PCI-Express-Sound-Karte-105dB/dp/B007RMMYFI/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1546539752&sr=1-2&keywords=ASUS+Xonar+DG

I'm not very knowledgeable in regards to Audio Cards so any feedback is appreciated.

Also should I be concerned that those cards are from 2013?

I run a SB ZxR card in my computer, have a set of Yamaha HS8 Powered Studio Monitor with the HS8 Subwoofer, pair of Shure 750DJ headphones, or Shure 535 in ear monitors. Absolutely love the sound the ZxR puts out and wouldn't trade it for the world.
