Hello, I had the motherboard MSI B75MA-E33, but unfortunately it had a problem and I had to replace it, I bought this recently: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-Shipping-Motherboard-RS232-DB9-Pin-Com-Port-Ribbon-Serial-Cable-Connector-Bracket/32594501769.html? as I wanted to add a serial port in my PC for some reasons.

The new motherboard I got is Gigabyte GA-B75M-D2V which doesn't seem to have a JCOM1/other serial port connector that will fit what I purchased. My questions are:

1.Is it possible that I'm wrong? I checked the manual and also looked at pictures, it doesn't seem to have JCOM1/serial port/anything else that should fit, at least not as far as I'm aware(I don't think USB port should work?)

2.What can I do? I can maybe order something like this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/PCI-E-serial-card-pcie-to-serial-RS232-interface-industrial-expansion-card/32785578737.html? but I don't really feel like spending 10$ on another one like this, is there maybe any adapter I can use? Or any other idea? Thanks :)

Thanks, but you got the wrong manual :D
My motherboard is GA-B75M-D2V, not GA-B75M-D3V

Unfortunately I already bought it, but I need the serial port for firmware update on something, and for some reason its just not working with the usb to serial port adapter, so I just want to be sure and get an actual serial port.

It works, the PC recognizes the product, but when I'm trying to update the firmware it gives an error while updating. I've looked up and found that problems with USB to serial ports is very common in old products. The drivers were installed, there are no settings, and I managed to update it with a serial port, so its not the device.
