Hi there,
due to the current Covid situation I´m looking for a video conference setup for an association, wherefore the price does matter
Max for the entire setup hardware (incl. cables aso.) has to be 1500€.
We want to use the setup for meetings as well as for "remote get togethers" via Discord (since it´s an easy to use software which includes video, audio and various rooms/channels). Currently we´d use the setup for only 5-6 people in the room; in the future after Covid maybe for up to 15/20.
Lighting conditions are quite bad, since the room (~10x4m, 40m²) is not lit very well. Therefore, I guess a default webcam will not do the trick at all.
The tech needs to be quite durable, since it´s a smoking room.
My equipment choice so far (please tell my any better recommendations, corrections and so on):
Thanks and regards!

My equipment choice so far (please tell my any better recommendations, corrections and so on):
- DLP Beamer (less vulnerable to smoke) + large screen (used, ~400€ possible e.g. using a benq w1070)
- Mini PC (e.g. Intel NUC or similar)
- Video source using a DSLM camera (e.g. Sony a5000 [or higher] + AC PW20 charger) + f2.0 or less objective (e.g. Sigma 16mm f1.4) via an HDMI grabber
- Sound is imho. quite a difficult topic. Either using a desk conference setup (speakers + microphones as a "spyder-style" setup) OR maybe a good Rode mic in the middle of the room (e.g. hanging from the ceiling) would do the trick? The latter would be much simpler, since the desks move all the time so an audio conference setup would have to be set and cabled before every single conference. Anyways, a dedicated mic requires additional speakers which might lead to acoustic feedback issues - what do you think?
Thanks and regards!
