I recently moved home from college back into my folk's place. Before leaving this house I bought an ASUS AC56 network card and it worked great, getting around 100mbps download with no problems. I've moved back home and no aspects of the network have changed yet I now recieve around 20mbps download. My phone receives around 110mbps from the same location. Does anyone know what environmental factors or settings may be causing this? The connection itself is stable.

Does the following link show your adapter?

https://store.asus.com/us/item/2020...1ac-Dual-band-Wireless---AC1300-PCI-E-Adapter

What make and model router?

Even though you believe that nothing has changed there may have been changes.

My recommendation is to pull the network card, uninstall current drivers, and do a complete as if "new" reinstall.

Download the drivers from Asus, manually install, and reconfigure.

Also recheck antenna connections to ensure that they are fully on and squarely connected.

Failing that: power down, unplug, open the case. Ensure that the AC56 is fully and firmly seated. It may have been loosened during the move.
