I have got a 3TB hard drive that I have used for a while now, and when I first used it I could only access 2TB. I read that this was because my drive was MBR and not GPT but I could not have windows installed on a GBT disk. So I used Seagate Disk Wizard to extend the drive, I assume by making a partition so I could then have the full 3TB.
However there was a major update for Windows 10 out in November I believe which I have only just installed. This has gotten rid of my partition and I am locked out of using the extra 1TB. When I go through the steps I used before with Seagate disk manager, I get an error. For anyone that may be able to make sense of this error here is the error codes etc..
I have now got an SSD which has windows installed on it and am able to convert this drive to GPT, however this requires me to format my hard drive as far as I am aware. I am okay to do this but I really need to back the files up from the partition which I have no access too.
So is there anyway I can fix this so I can get access to them files so I can back them up?
Thank you in advance.
